Encore! Encore!

MOZART at the Mansion House, Bob Kerr's Whoopee Band in Paternoster Square — the City of London will resound, this next fortnight, with the music of its own Festival. Great halls and churches will throw open their doors, and so, just here and there, will the workaday City. The Stock Exchange declares open house on July 11 and 16 — come along at five o'clock, march across the trading floor, buy a share or, if you prefer, a stockbrok- er. Willis Faber and the Baltic Exchange, inheritors of two of the City's grandest buildings, play hosts to concerts. It is an example which others could follow, to their own benefit and everybody else's. What about a concert party at the Takeover Panel? Or Beethoven night at the Bank of England: Rage Over a Lost Penny?
