Crockford Prefaces

S1R,—How much I agree with Janus regarding the value of the Crock- ford prefaces. Seven 'years ago I was moved to recommend their publication in book form for the benefit of ordination candidates and others. The Editor wrote that this was just being done,' under the title of Crockford Prefaces; the Editor Looks Back. I look forward very much to seeing this latest issue, which is evidently of the same high and independent standard as those written for many years by a former West country dignitary.—Yours faithfully,
