County Geographies," General Editor, F. H. H. Guillemard, M.D. (Cambridge University Press, is. 6d. per vol.), we have four volumes, Essex, Kent, Surrey, Sussex, all by Mr. George P. Bosworth. There is something of the " county history " about them ; certainly they are made interesting. We observe that the theory that the "Pilgrims' Way" was the old route from the Cornish tin-mines to the south-east coast is not noticed. Is it not a fact that ingots of tin have been found along the route P
