Mx. Bell adds that a British Legion on the exact

lines of the American Legion has already been started by Sir Edward Woodward. We agree with Mr. Bell's suggestion that it would be well if the Liberty League and the British Legion were com- bin/A, and we further agree that the ultimate aim of the Liberty League or the British Legion, or whatever it may be called, should be to link up with the American Legion for the perpetual safeguarding of Anglo-American peace against its enemies. The time has come for it to be understood that though all good English-speaking democrats can never repudiate the authority of a majority which has become a majority by means of lawful persuasion, they will never cease to fight against the attempted tyrannies of minorities, against schemes to set aside the results of the ballot-boxes, and to overcome by means of crime dis- guised as politics.
