Landscape Illustrations of the Waverley Novels. Part VII.

The plates in the present number are all excellent. STANFIELD gives us a new and striking view of Edinburgh Castle ; BARRETT one of the Ruins of St. Anthony's Chapel, in broad moonlight ; COPLEY FIELDING one of the Hill of Hoy, from a sketch by the Marchioness of STAFFORD, a beautiful effect of sunset behind the bi-parted hill which throws its deep shadow on the lake ; and we have also a view more accurate than effective of Loch Awe and Ben Cruachan.
