By F. A. Fawkes. (Swan Sonnenschein and Co.) --We have also re- ceived a new edition, appearing under the care of Mr. D. McLennan, brother of the author, of Studies in Ancient History, comprising a Reprint of Primitive Marriage, by the late John Ferguson McLennan. Macmillan and Co.)—We have to acknowledge the pocket edition of Thackeray's Newcomes, in two volumes (Smith, Elder, and Co.), —an edition which, for beauty and convenience, could not easily be surpassed.
