Phil May's Fifty - two Original Designs, Forming Two Humorous Alphabets. (Leadenhall

Press.)—Each page contains two subjects or groups. First we have them without the alphabet letters, and then they are repeated with them. This is a happy thought. The drawings show off better without the introduction, which cannot but be a little intrusive in most cases, of the lines of the letter. It is needless by this time to commend Mr. Phil May's art. It represents, better, we think, than has ever been done, common people and common things without falling into vulgarity.
