Very extensive preparations have been made by Russia for car-

rying on the war in Circassia. It is said that the Circassians com- mitted great cruelties on the Russian sailors, wrecked on their coast, during the severe storm in the Black Sea. Hospitals are fitting up in the towns of the Crimea, and in Odessa there is to be one capable of holding 2,000 patients.
