Lop-sided Liberals

Sir: In your issue of 22 September, Ian Hislop (Diary) makes perhaps rather ex- aggerated fun of the Liberal Democrats' new logo, for it is a harmless-looking and indeed rather elegant bird. But what he does not point out is that its left wing is much larger than its right. Has this, do you think, any significance?
