[To THE EDITOR OF THE "SPECTATOR."] Sra,—Being interested in the building of cheap cottages, I am very anxious to get information as to places where squared chalk blocks are used, and especially as to the methods used in getting them out. I have heard that a continued traditional use of squared block exists somewhere in the neighbourhood of Amberley, in Sussex. Perhaps some of your readers could give particulars as to the manner and cost of working.—I am,
