THE LIBERAL PARTY CONFERENCE SIR.—Pharos has certainly caught us out

and we apologise for the typing mistake on our postcard inviting you to our Conference. He can hardly blame the Liberal Party, however, for a typist's error. Regrettable though it is, we all make mistakes sometimes, I am afraid. For instance, the pleasant vil- lage of Burton Latimer is in Northants, so it appears that even Homer nods—occasionally !—Yours faith- fully, PHYLLIS PRESTON Press Officer Liberal Party Organisation, 58 Victoria Street, SW 1
