on the motion of Lord Ashley, the Queen has appointed the following persons to be her Majesty's Commissioners to inquire into the practicability and mode of sub- dividing into distinct and independent parishes, for all ecclesiastical pur- poses, all the densely-peopled parishes in England and Wales— The Archbishop of York, the Earl of liarrowby. the Lord Bishop of London, the Lord Bishop of Lichfield, Lord Ashley, the flight Honourable Sidney Herbert, Sir Ed- ward North Buxton, the Reverend Henry Ralkes, M.A., (Chancellor of the Diocese of Chester,) Archdeacon Sinclair, the Reverend Walter Farquhar Hook, D.D., the Reverend Thomas Dale, M.A., William Cotton, Esq., the Reverend William Weldon Champneys, 31.A., Charles Knight Murray, Esq., Barrister-at-law, William Woodrooffe, Esq., the Reverend Joseph Ilaslegrave, M.A., and Robert Bolton Smiley, Eby.
