The Pembroke Coast Those splendid bird-beloved islands—Skomer, Skokholm, Ramsey and

Grasholm, home of seals as well as gannets, lie off a coast that is in tune with them. There is a scheme for making a long strip of this Pembrokeshire coast into a National Park ; and the comparative smallness of the population would make the plan easy. It happens this spring that the accounts of the Bird Protection Society for the county are published on the same date as the year's record of Skokholm ; and both are extremely interesting documents for all lovers and students of birds, and, indeed, it may be added for schoolmasters. Nothing is better in the report than quotations from a girl's record of the birds she has watched. It would serve as a model for any teacher of natural history or the open-air life.
