The wonders of electricity are very little known to the

average man and woman of to-day, in spite of the remarkable extent to which we rely on this mysterious force for our news, lighting and locomotion. The Electrical Publicity Bureau have sent us The Beama Book, which has been compiled for the British. Electrical and Allied Manufacturers Association of 96 Kingsway, W.C. This is a remarkably, well-got-up survey of the electrical industry which we can thoroughly recommend. Most of us could learn more of this wonderful wired and wire- less world we live in, with great profit to ourselves, but we all. specialize so much that we hardly appreciate the miraculous extension of life, in physical sense, that has occurred in our homes during the last decade.
