DRONES AND STINGS

SIR,—On p. 101—`Tory Revival'—David Watt writes : 'fifteen . . . drones from the Government back benches will leap . . . with stings. unsheathed ready to defend their queen.'

Stand your contributor in the dunce's corner. Drones have no sting. Their sole unsheathable organ is the sexual one, and since the use of this involves auto-castration followed by the lingering death of the attacker, not to mention the infliction of perpetual fertility upon the queen, defenders will be hard to come by.
