Sir: I have been puzzled by the statement in Mr Milnes's review of the opera We Come to the River that one sentence heard at the performance, 'I'll enjoy making a hole in you tomorrow' is omitted in the libretto as printed by Henze's publishers—an assertion which I read in another review as well. The libretto I bought a few days before the premiere contains it, on page 98. Have there perhaps been two editions within a fortnight ?
