is a man of energy, something is hoped from his administration. What is wanted, however, is a finawier. The paper money, called mimes, has been issued too fast, and is falling to a terrible discount, and the Government appears to have no means of calling it in. No one, however, knows its true amount; and the Government intends to suggest some new security. The Government has succeeded in re- mitting 134,0001. out of 214,0001., due for dividend in London in March next.
