The Rose Fairy Book. Edited by Mrs. Herbert Strang. (Henry

Frowde and Hodder and Stoughton. 6s. net.)—There is no original work in these stories, which are a very good selection, including some of the best-known favourites. Several are from Grimm, but the only acknowledgments made are to Perrault and Mme. de Villeneuve. There is one Indian story, and two or three come from the Arabian Nights. They are plentifully illustrated in colour and in black and white by Lilian A. Govey.
