know what rheology is? Neither do I. That is to say, neither .did I. Not that I really understand now, but "the new science," for so it is described in the advertisements of the book, deals, it seems (as the presumed

derivation would indicate), with the flow of liquids, molten metals and the like. There is quite a lot about rheology in the advertise- ments, but not a hint of what rheology is. However, mention is made of a British Rheologists' Club—concerned no doubt with the feast of reason and the flow of soul. ;ANUS.
