The July number of the Woman's World gives us a

taste of the literary quality of the Queen of Roumania (" Carmen Sylva ") in "Decebars Daughter," which is meant to bring out the contrast between Andrade, the stately and proud daughter of a Dacian chief of the time of Trojan, and her Roman slave Faust& The

contrast is very effective. Otherwise, the story has a G. P. R. Jamesish flavour. Altogether, this is not a particularly bright number of the Woman's World.
