Constable Herbert Patrick Lee has given us an interesting, straightforward

book about his experiences in the Arctic, in Policing the Top of the World, (The Bodley Head, 8s. 6d.). The author's was one of the most northerly of the posts where those splendid men, the Canadian Mounted Police, are to be found. There is a stirring account of life in Ellesmere Land.
