MIL NEWTON'S EXHIBIT AT THE ROYAL ACADEMY. (To THE EDITOR

OF THE " SPECTIN01."3 SIR,—With reference to the remarks of your critic on my exhibit in the Academy of a house in France, I should like to say that my client, who is married to an Englishwoman,, particularly desired an English type of house, and for this reason employed an English architect instead of a Frenchman.

—I am, Sir, Ste., ERNEST NEWTON. 4 Raymond Buildings, Gray's Inn, W.C. 1.
