The Lyceum has turned the Marble Maiden to amusing account,

in a burlesque that affords Mrs. Keeley and Mr. Wigan some scope for the exercise of their talents; and, what with parodies of popular songs and dances, passes half an hour very pleasantly.

Some novelties are promised next week: Mrs. Keeley's Dot having kept alive The Cricket until now.

A spectacle of the "masque" species, called The Ruins of Athens, is which Beethoven's music was mixed up with a ballet and procession, 'was produced at the Princess's on Thursday, with doubtful success. The ap- pearance of Madame Vestris and Mr. Charles Mathews there, tonight, will be likely to change the aspect of the stage and the character of the per- formances for the better.
