SPECTATOR.] SIR ,—Your correspondent Mr. Jethro. Sable asks " how the parson discovers the sick and the infirm in his parish." Ile will find an answer to his inquiry in the first rubric in the Order for the Visitation of the Sick in our Prayer Book : When any person is sick notice shall be given thereof to the Minister of the Parish." If this were done more frequently the parson would know that a visit would be welcomed. It is, of course, impossible for a priest to know unless he happens to be told. A doctor is sent for, why not the priest if a visit is desired ?—I am, Sir, &c.,
