Nice run, Roger

ANYONE who is chairman of the London money market and of the Cresta Run is used to living dangerously. Calculated risk, a more pompous man than Roger Gibbs might call it. Nowadays he is chairman of Wellcome Trust, the great medical charity, and no longer cares to risk all its wealth in Wellcome shares, however good Well- come's pills are. They are good enough to have to put an extra nought on the end of the trust's money in six years, and now the trust is cashing in on £2112 billion of them. Nice run, Roger. Nice time to stop.
