ARM-BOOKS.

The half-yearly volume of the Architectural Review (Effingham House, Arundel Street) is a pleasant collection of well-illustrated articles. The account of the great Abbey Church of St. Sevin, near Poictiers, an eleventh-century building, is an interesting paper; so is Mr. Britten's description of the work on the mosaics in the dome of St. Paul's.

A small collection of Bookplates, designed by Professor Hilder- brant (Gravel and Co.), shows a return to a more heraldic style than has been common of late.
