INSCRIPTION FOR A WAR MEMORIAL.

[To THE EDITOR or THE " Sescriroz."]

Sin,—We have on our Memorial Cross the following inscription, which was suggested by a writer in the Times, and which, in my judgment, is eminently suitable for a country village :— " Ye who live on, 'mid English pastures green, Remember us : and think what might have been."

—I am, Sir, &c., REGINALD SMITH. The Vicarage, Walpole St. Andrew, West Norfolk.
