The result of the Hastings by-election was declared on Wednesday

night. It was as follows :— Lord Eustace Percy (C.U.) .. 11,685 Mr. R. Davies (Lab.) .. .. 5,437 Mr. Blackman (hid. Lib.) .. 4,240 At the last election Mr. Lyon, the Coalition Unionist, had a majority of 7,654. Labour is evidently making no impression on Hastings.
