Curtain Call

The seven-a-side tournament at Twickenham is always the best of endings to the season. And there is little doubt that this year's London Scot. tish seven was the best team since the tournament began in 1926, even eclipsing the brilliance of the Harlequin sides in the early years. Stewart Wil- son, Scotland's captain and full-back, rather sur- prisingly emerged as this year's star player. But how many points did he really score? The Sun- day Telegraph said 26: the Sunday Times 30: and the Daily Telegraph bid 32. I believe this last figure to be right, but I'd lost count by then.
