Shakespeare's Town and Times. By H. Snowden Ward and Catharine

Weed Ward. (Dawbarn and Ward.)—Without depreciating the letterpress of this volume we may say that its characteristic merit is to be found in the admirable photo- graphs. All that is best worth seeing in the town of Stratford, especially the buildings and localities that are connected with Shakespeare's life, Billesley, Luddington, Shottery Manor, Charlecote, &c., are pictured here. A visitor to Stratford can hardly do better than make this volume his companion. It will furnish him with good reading, it will serve him as a guide— various useful particulars are given—and will refresh his memory afterwards.
