Caine mutiny

Sir: Michael Caine may not have spelt the name of Judy Garland's daughter wrongly, but Julie Burchill (Books, 31 October) has: the name is Minnelli, not Minelli. It might also have been wiser, before sneering at Mr Caine's version of the name of the heroine of Pygmalion, to have taken a look at the text. Though she is usually addressed as Eliza in dialogue (but not by her father: 'Won't you put on your hat, Liza, and come and see me turned off?' asks Doolittle in Act 5), the speech heading is, consistently, Liza.
