The German and Austrian Governments are, says the Augsburg Gazette,

about to address a despatch to the other Powers of Europe showing them the means of putting an end to the social agitations which are the greatest danger of European society. That is, the German and Austrian Governments have invented a perpetual motion,—of course, like everything perpetual, also Con- servative,—have squared the political circle, and so forth. We do not anticipate any instruction at all from the despatch promised. Royal roads to social peace are no easier found than royal roads to wealth.
