SIR,—All through the last week I have found running through

[To the Editor of THE SPECTATOR] my head—as such things will—three lines from the touching little ballad of the " Three Sailors of Bristol City " : " Said Gorging Jack to Guzzling Jimmy I can't eat you, you can't eat me ; There's little Billee, let's eat he."
