No hope for peace talks

From Mr Michael Day Thompson Sir: On Radio Four's World This Weekend on Sunday, commenting on the appropriate response to the reported multiple bomb outrages in Israel, the Foreign Office minister Ben Bradshaw gave his opinion that the only answer was to 'resume serious peace talks'.

But with whom? If Mr Arafat, as his apologists state, cannot control the bombers, how can he agree any action to halt the violence from his side of the line in order to bring about a peaceful solution?

If Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the other terrorist groups have as their objective the destruction of the state of Israel, and he is powerless to restrain or persuade them, can someone explain what peace there is to talk about?
