Patnck Duncan

Sir: A biography of the late Patrick Duncan, a major figure in the recent political history of South Africa, is to be written by Mr C. J. Driver. Mr Driver has been appointed by Mr Duncan 's widow, Lady Bryan. Documentary material helpful to the biographer undoubtedly remains widely scattered in this country and abroad, and this Centre is co-operating with Lady Bryan and Mr Driver in the collection of material. It would greatly help the enterprise if friends, colleagues and acquaintances could send written material and correspondence for photo-copying, or let us have their recol lections of Mr Duncan. At the conclusion of the project it is hoped to deposit originals and copies of papers and letters in the Library of this University as a permanent Duncan archive.
