An "occasional correspondent" of the Globe, this evening, says that

Mr. Humphrey Mildmay has consented to stand for Southampton ; a seat for which is vacant by Lord Bruce's succession to the Peerage. Mr. Mildmay is "a relative of the Winchester Mildmays, once celebrated for their Liberalism, but who have for some time past displayed symptoms-of ratting towards Toryism."
