EAST INDIA SHIPPING. SATURDAY MORNING

By the American ship Augusta, arrived at Cowes, letters have been received from China to the 8th of January. Matters were then so for from being settled with the Authorities at Canton, that it had been proposed to despatch the Windsor and another ship to the Yellow Sea with a deputation to his Celestial Majesty at Pekin. The Bridgwater would leave for England about the end of January. All the other Company's ships will probably be detained till next season. The H. C. Ship Canning, for China direct, is expected to be despatched this day.
