Yesterday, an influential meeting of the United Committee of Shipowners

and North American Colonists was held at the King's Arms, Palace Yard. It was attended by a large number of Members of Parliament, as well as by deputations from the Society for the Protection of Agriculture, and from the West India body. It was understood that measures are in active progress for organizing a general association of all the great interests in the country, Agricultural, Manufacturing, Shipping, and Colonial, against the Government measures

The Eastern Counties Herald says that "deputations from most of the outports are being organized to support the London Shipowners Committee : one from Liverpool, on behalf of the Colonial Association and the Shipowners Society, has already proceeded to London."
