A serious railway disaster occurred on the Great Western Railway

on Monday, and has attracted unusual attention because of the uncertainty of its cause. The express from Milford was approaching Loughor when one of the two engines employed suddenly left the rails and turned com- pletely over. Two coaches also, full of passengers, "went over the embankment, one telescoping the other." The driver and fireman of the wrecked engine and a passenger were killed on the spot, and more than thirty persons were injured, some very seriously.
