Q. I do not suppose that you get a lot

of questions answered before they are even asked. But here is one that you could keep on your files, which, perhaps, could be useful in the future. I occasionally go to a C of E church near here, hut do not take Communion. This raises a problem when I find myself in the middle of a pew, and I have to move into the aisle to let all the communicants out, sit alone until they return and move out again to let them back. The answer I find is to join the 'procession' and turn off at an opportune moment to light a candle at the stand at the side of the church, before joining my friends on the way back. I hope that this small tip is not too tiny to be of interest to you in the midst of the big issues with which you deal each week.

R.J.S., Nottinghamshire A. On the contrary, your tip will be of use to readers who, for one reason or another, are unable to take Communion.
