Accounts frotn New York, dated the 7th of January, have

been received. The only intelligence from Canada is, that Sir JOHN COLBOBNE had confirmed the sentence of a court-martial on eleven prisoners taken on the Beauharnois property, and ordered them for execution.

Lord ALEXANDER, of the Coldstream Guards, arrived by the same vessel from New York, which brought the above account lie is the bearer of despatches from Sir Jonx COLBORNE, which, accosdiog to the Limes, mention preparations by the United States Government to take immediate possession of the disputed territory on the frontier of' New Brunswick. WV have seen no con- firmation or denial of this settement ; but our faith in it is small.
