The Portuguese Cortes were prorogued on the 20th of April,

by a speech from the Queen. She had previously, in answer to an address from the two Chambers, expressed her willingness to be again married (amiably accommodating lady !) as soon as a suitable match could be settled. A younger brother of her late busband has been mentioned as a candidate for her hand; and it is said that the King of France has offered her his son, the Duke DE NEMOURS. But in the meanwhile, the Marquis of PALMELLA bits resigned his office to Count LINHARES, his brother-in-law, and is said to be coming to England to consult the British Minis4ry on the subject of the marriage. M. FERRAZ, the Minister of Justice, has also resigned; and is succeeded by M. LEITAO. These changes do not seem to have at all affected the stability of the Administration.
