Bloody amazing

From Mr Tony Kench Sir: Jasper Griffin (13A stands for bloody awful', 26 October) seems to be aggrieved that BA's website sold him a ticket for the wrong date.

He misleads us, however, in saying that he was charged before he had an opportunity to correct it. All the main commercial websites, certainly including BA's, echo back what has been ordered and then require you to confirm it before you proceed with payment.

It makes an alarmist story, and even more alarmist headline: but, as he concludes himself, you simply need to read the text in front of you (just as you would a restaurant bill) before you commit to the payment. It is not, as they say, rocket science.
