Murder and sport

Sir: I am boycotting the Olympic Games because of the racial, political, economic and religious oppression, brutality, murder and slavery committed separately or in combination by the Soviet Union, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania,*Uganda, The Congo, Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, Egypt, India, Pakistan, Bangla Desh, Sri Lanka, China, Chile, Peru and the USA. This list is by no means complete — but it will do.

The only games worthy of the name and worth watching would be between Britain and the Old Dominions — Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Rhodesia and Canada. This is the only combination of nations that would make any sense, whether in sport, politics, economics, peace or war. H. Canter 7 Cox Lane, Ewell, Epsom, Surrey
