Ministers had their annual white-bait dinner on Saturday, at the

Crown and Sceptre in Greenwich. They mustered a party of fifty, and proceeded from Hungerford in one of the Watermen's steamers. Lord Hawarden presided at the dinner.

The forthcoming meeting of the British Association for the Advancement of Science will be held at York, on the 26th September.
