Two Little Runaways. By James Buckland. (Longmans and Co.)—This tale
is adapted, we are told, from a French original published more than fifty years ago. Various changes and addi- tions have been made. The result is amusing, and the more manifestly French the fun, the better. The illustrations are often good. The figure of the French cheap-jack, " Marquis de Gallimatiaa," is especially good.
