Wise not late

Sir: In last week's Spectator, I compared the Wodehouse character Uncle Fred to the late soldier-turned-actor David Niven and to the soldier-turned-journalist Donald Wise. A dropped line left the suggestion that Donald Wise is an actor and, still worse, late.
