Sir: In his review of Vivien Leigh (22 October) John Kobal has bad luck in choosing Hedy Lamarr as the bimbo anti- thesis of Vivien Leigh. She was one of the few Hollywood stars of the 1940s to be granted a patent for a torpedo guidance system.
