SIR.---I wonder whether I might be allowed to make a correction to the letter which you kindly published for me on May 27? The proposal to link disarma- ment with aid to the impoverished countries was first made in the House of Commons by Mr. Hilary Marquand in 1954; it was repeated. and not made for the first time, on March 28 last.
