to press, but so far as is known the Social Democrats are now the strongest party. the figures are :- According to the Times Social Democrats

It should be noted that if the nine votes of the Land Unions are reckoned as Nationalist votes the Nationalist figure is brought up to 105. The matter is not unim- portant, as the President of the Reichstag is appointed 753 from the strongest party. Light may possibly come out of darkness if the doubtful attitude of the German electors towards the Dawes Report hardens French opinion in favour of accepting it.
